Stephen and Mary were exceptionally prompt in responding and communication was continuous and very valuable. Stephen was very professional and helpful. My furnace was over 25 years old but Stephen offered alternatives for repair rather than replacement.There was NEVER any pressure one way or the other! We ultimately decided to replace. During a brief delay in receiving the new furnace on order (Covid-19 supply problems) they continued excellent communications and updates.
The new furnace was installed by Stephen very quickly and cleanly. It is great and operating perfectly!

I was having an intermittent issue with my furnace and the first two companies I hired were unsuccessful at properly diagnosing the problem. Then I came across Mountain Air Mechanical. Steve really listened to my description of the issue. Within minutes of looking at the furnace, he noticed what turned out to be the problem….the angle of one of the flue pipes was off, preventing proper draining of condensation and interfering with venting properly. He fixed the slope of the pipe and I have not had the problem since. Steve’s experience was evident in the thoughtful way he looked over the system as a whole. He offered very helpful explanations of the problem at hand and a couple other issues he noticed, and some useful tips. He is professional yet down to earth. I would definitely request his services again and highly recommend him.

My furnace's blower motor would not turn on. Steve led me through a series of diagnostics over the phone and was able to isolate and fix the problem remotely. He was knowledgeable about my 20-year-old Lennox furnace without even being able to see it.. He was patient as I left him waiting on the phone several times as I fetched tools. Outstanding!!!

Steve has been taking care of my furnace and AC for years. He has kept them going longer than the normal lifespan and they are still running strong. He is very courteous and takes his shoes off when he comes in. He is smart and understands how the systems work well and has fixed many small things for me for a very fair price. Highly recommend Steve, Mary and Mountain Air Mechanical! You know when you have an issue and need to hire a contractor but unsure who to use, and then worried if they will be reputable, knowledgeable and cost effective? You're worried if the bill will run high as they could tell you just about anything and you go with it because maybe they are telling you the truth and how would you know. You DO NOT need to look further or worry anymore. Hire Steve! Steve is knowledgeable, but so is Mary, his office support staff. I don't like when I call an establishment to ask questions to see if I would like to use their services and I'm told that they will just need to send someone out, and I'm left wondering if these people I'm blind committing to will be worth it. Mary answered all my questions from the start which made me feel comfortable with hiring MAM. Steve came out, very friendly, and offered the best customer service. Any questions that arose he answered, even after hours. I feel that Steve and Mary are committed to their clients, go the extra mile, trustworthy (as I'm pretty sure MAM lost money working on my HVAC system, but still gave the same great customer service and commtiment), and not about selling or running up a bill. I find it rare to find a company like that.

Steve Young, owner of Mountain Air Mechanical, is my new go to guy for all things HVAC. I was told by a large HVAC company that I needed a new furnace and air conditioner when the blower motor went out on my furnace. The large company used all kinds of fear tactics to try and push me into spending $10,000 to $12,000 to replace both systems.
